Stacie Cwik Workshop

Stacie Cwik Workshop

Stacie found agility in 2009 (after giving up years of competitive horseback riding) with her first dog, a Norwich Terrier named Riley. She was immediately hooked and has spent the last 10 years traveling around the country to work with many high-level agility instructors. Her border collie, UNO, who competed on 3 world teams and won 6 national championships, just wrapped up his career in 2021 and she is starting her next agility journey with her young border collies, Classic and Numi.

Stacie philosophy for agility is highly analytical. She does not believe in a “one size fits all” approach. Problem solving is one of her favorite parts of dog training (and life). She firmly believes in working with each individual team to help them be successful at their goals. Stacie teaches weekly classes and monthly workshops in Northern IL and on occasions travels to teach seminars. She works a full- time job in Marketing and earned her MBA in August 2022.

Dave Viklund Fall Clinic

Dave Viklund is back for a fall clinic. To quote a past participant “so much happening with this sport of moving and live obstacles. There are VERY few people who truly understand dog and stock behavior. To work with someone who can explain the how, when, where and why in a clear manner and have a tool box full of ways to communicate that with their audience is a gift!” We’re lucky that we have Dave back again!

Dave Viklund Herding Clinic

Dave Viklund, Double V Stockdogs, is from Molalla, Oregon

After Working with a rancher from Alberta as a young boy, dave began to get into horses, both saddle and draft horses.  Through the years working with horses, Dave learned the skils and theories that his herding dog training is based on.  He started with a young border collie using it to help with his commercial sheep outfit, realizing the principles he used to train his horses was the same as working livestock with his dogs.

Dave now runs a small farm with his wife, Trudy.  They both help people learn to work livestock with dogs.  Dave is a judge in AHBA, AKC, and USBCHA an competes primarily in USBCHA.  He personally has border collies and kelpies, but will tell you that “a good dog is a good dog  A dog that works well is a good dog.”
